DGT Survey Group Announces Acquisition of Cullinan Engineering Plans and Records and Hiring of A. Wayne Harrison


DGT Survey Group, a professional land surveying company that specializes in complex construction projects, with offices in Boston, Providence and Newburyport, MA, and providers of surveying services for construction managers, developers, civil engineers, institutions, architects, and commercial property attorneys has acquired Cullinan Engineering Co. Inc's Boston, Auburn and Lakeville, MA office's Survey and Engineering Plans and Records dating back to the 1950's. Additionally, DGT Survey Group, a division of Digital Geographic Technologies Inc., has hired A. Wayne Harrison PLS as a member of the DGT Survey Group team. Mr. Harrison was previously employed at Cullinan Engineering as key part of the Cullinan team for 42 years, most recently serving as Branch Manager for its Boston Metropolitan Office, and the companies Chief Surveyor.  Prior to that Mr. Harrison oversaw Cullinan’s surveying operations on Boston’s Central Artery/Tunnel project.  Earlier he served as Surveying Department Manager for Cullinan Engineering corporate surveying division.

 

While at Cullinan Engineering, Mr. Harrison was in charge of surveys for many of Greater Boston’s high profile institutions and developments.  Among these are the Prudential Center complex, Copley Place, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston Medical Center, the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority, and Harvard University.  Additionally, he led surveys in Worcester, MA for the Worcester City Campus Corporation, University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center, and University of Massachusetts Medical School.

 

Mr. Harrison is the immediate Past President of the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS), an organization in which he has been active since 1999.  Wayne has the distinction of being an NSPS Fellow. Wayne has also served in many leadership roles over the years with the Massachusetts Association of Land Surveyors and Civil Engineers (MALSCE).  He was honored by that group in 2005 as the “MALSCE Surveyor of the Year.”
